I am Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon, currently working in the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Bournemouth, UK.

I graduated from Donetsk State Medical University, Donetsk, Ukraine. I had my foundation training in Pakistan and higher surgical training from Wessex Deanery, UK.

I have special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. I perform laparoscopic colonic and rectal surgery both for malignant and benign conditions including inflammatory bowel disease.

I had great privilege to work with Prof. Amjad Parvaiz as colorectal trainee and as a fellow in advanced robotic colorectal surgery from European Academy of Robotic Colorectal Surgery (ERACS) Lisbon, Portugal.

I have ardent interest in academia and undertake peer review for many medical journals. I have executed several prospective studies including randomized control trail. I have written over 35 peer-reviewed articles in various medical journals and over 40 presentations in different national and international scientific meetings.

Other areas of interest include teaching and training of minimally invasive colorectal surgery. I worked as honorary clinical tutor for Medical School. I am ACC assessor for medical students, faculty member of surgical skills courses and IBD workshops. I have also been part of various laparoscopic and robotic workshops for colorectal surgery.

Currently, I am involved in establishing a competency based national training programme alongside Prof. Amjad Parvaiz in laparoscopic colorectal surgery in Serbia – LapSerb.
