Dr Blagoje Đukanović, PhD, MD is specialist general surgeon at Clinical Center Bežanijska Kosa, Belgrade with comprehensive training in digestive surgery. His main clinical interests include colorectal, pelvic and liver surgery. He developed extensive clinical research in liver surgical anatomy. He also has a special interest in the management of colorectal cancer and advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery. With his team now he is doing more than 50% of colorectal cancers in his institution laparoscopicaly. He was trained at National Cancer Center Tokyo; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York; Beaujon Hospital, Paris and Champalimaud Foundation, Lisbon.
